The City of Delta is excited to announce the launch of the Spring 2025 phase of the Planting Our Roots – Free Tree Project. Starting Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 10:00 am, the reservation form opens for residents wishing to enter the draw to receive one of 250 trees. This initiative gives Delta residents the opportunity to directly contribute to the City’s goal of expanding its tree canopy.
What You Need to Know
- The online reservation form will open on Tuesday, April 1 at 10:00 am and remain open until Thursday, April 3 at 11:59pm.
- Each household may submit one (1) entry to receive a tree, delivered directly to your home in time for spring planting season.
- The form offers a selection of ten (10) different tree varieties and residents will be asked to select their top five (5) preferences. When recipients are chosen through random draw, trees will be given away based on a combination of ranked tree preference and remaining availability of tree varieties.
- Residents who received a tree through the Planting Our Roots – Free Tree Project in 2024 will not be eligible to receive a tree this spring.

Residents are encouraged to select trees that are best suited for their environment to ensure they thrive.
