What is the Delta Seniors Bus Program?

The Delta Seniors Bus provides a free transportation service for seniors in Delta, serving both North and South Delta. The bus service offers easy access to local medical services, recreation centres, shopping locations and other community amenities. The home base for the Delta Seniors Bus serving South Delta is McKee Seniors Recreation Centre in Ladner, and the home base for the Delta Seniors Bus serving North Delta is Kennedy Seniors Recreation Centre.

The service was made possible in part by an Age-Friendly Grant (234 KB) - a partnership between the Government of B.C. and the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM).

Who Can Use the Delta Seniors Bus?

Seniors who live in Delta are encouraged to use the service.

Where Does the Delta Seniors Bus Go?

The Delta Seniors Bus picks up and drops off seniors at requested locations. The day-to-day route is determined by users. Upon request, the bus may be available to go to neighbouring communities for medical services.

What are the Days/Hours of Operation?

South Delta: Tuesday–Friday  |  9:30 am–4 pm
North Delta: Monday–Friday  |  9:30 am–4 pm

Currently, the service does not operate on statutory holidays.

How Do I Book a Ride?

For service in North Delta, please call 604-353-6305 on Thursdays.
For service in South Delta, please call 604-358-8765 on Tuesdays.

 All rides are subject to availability.

How Accessible is the Bus?

Both buses are wheelchair accessible, have space for walkers and wheelchairs, and are equipped with an automatic lift.
