Adopt-a-Rain Garden Program

Rain gardens are gardens with swales that retain and infiltrate runoff from nearby impervious areas, such as roadways and parking lots. They help to improve water quality, replenish groundwater, reduce the heat island effect, provide food for pollinators, and beautify our communities.

The Rain Garden program was initiated in 2004 in North Delta, and since then, over 40 Rain Gardens have been constructed in the City of Delta to date.

Rain gardens require volunteers to regularly maintain them so they can stay healthy and beautiful! YOU can make an impact by being a Rain Garden Adopter or a Community Hero!
To locate your nearest rain garden, please see the MAP.
