2017 #TalkDelta Public Open House

The #TalkDelta Public Open House returns to the North Delta Recreation Centre on Wednesday, September 20

Get to know the people behind your local government, learn how we serve the community through important services and programs, and have a conversation with the experts about issues and initiatives in the community. On September 20, between 4 and 8 pm, you'll have the chance to engage with members of Delta Council and senior staff regarding issues affecting the community and learn about the range of services and upcoming projects being offered by Delta.

Don't miss the chance to talk about transportation issues affecting your community with the Transportation Townhall at 7 pm with Mayor Lois E. Jackson, including a special presentation and Q & A session on the George Massey Tunnel Replacement Project with Chief Administrative Officer George V. Harvie.

You'll also have the opportunity to learn about some important departmental services and initiatives:

Parks, Recreation and Culture

  • Take a peek at the plans for the upcoming North Delta Arts Centre
  • Learn about services available to seniors in Delta
  • See what programs are available for aquatics, fitness, and community recreation, and learn about Grades 5 through 8 registration perks


  • Get up-to-date with the George Massey Tunnel Replacement Project
  • Take a look at some of the other Provincial projects affecting Delta, like the Sunbury/Nordel interchange and the Highway 91/72 Avenue Interchange
  • View the latest for the Neighbourhood Roads Improvement Plan

  • Get an update on North Delta development projects, as well as the new Fire Hall and EOC at Boundary Bay Airport

The 2017 #TalkDelta Municipal Open House takes place on Wednesday, September 20 from 4 and 8 pm at the North Delta Recreation Centre gymnasium.
