Delta Fire Open Houses

Get to know your local fire department and first responders by attending one of the two upcoming Delta Fire Open Houses. The first Open House takes place on Saturday, June 17, from 9 am until 3 pm at Fire Hall #1 in Ladner and the second takes place on Saturday, June 24 from 9 am until 3 pm at Fire Hall #3 in North Delta. This is a fantastic opportunity to get up close to fire trucks and apparatus, as well as learn about how a fire hall operates. To learn more, visit

Summer Leisure Guide

The 2017 Summer Leisure Guide is now available to help you and your family get prepared for a busy summer. Delta is featuring a wide variety of full-week and full-day camps, as well as an assortment of programs, events, and courses throughout July and August. Concerts in the Park

Delta’s annual Concerts in the Park series returns in 2017, and kicks off on Tuesday, June 13 with a performance by the Delta Music Makers. Bring your blanket or lawn chair to Memorial Park to experience an evening of musical delight. This free, family-friendly event gets underway at 7pm. To learn more, visit 


Final Consideration and Adoption of Bylaws No. 7492, 7493 and 7681 for Delta Heritage Action Plan

Council adopted Delta Heritage Control Period: Ladner (Heritage Action Plan – P15-07) Bylaw No. 7492 2017; Heritage Site Maintenance Standards (Heritage Action Plan – P15-07) Bylaw No. 7493, 2017; and Consolidated Fees Bylaw No. 7273, 2013 Amendment (Heritage Conservation Levy – P15-07) Bylaw No. 7681, 2017. These bylaws represent the initial steps towards implementing the updated Delta Heritage Strategy, adopted by Council on May 29, 2017. Along with initiating planning for new heritage conservation areas in Ladner, work would also begin on other initiatives outlined in the Delta Heritage Strategy. Staff will work closely with the Heritage Advisory Commission to implement these initiatives, and report back to Council on a regular basis. View the staff report.
