Inter-Municipal Business Licence Program Expansion

Nov 03, 2015

Since August, 2013 Delta has been part of a two-year pilot program that allowed construction trades to work in any of the six participating municipalities: Delta, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, Surrey, and Vancouver without obtaining separate business licences in each municipality, saving businesses time and money.

Due to the positive experience with the Metro West Inter-municipal Business Licence pilot program, the Inter-municipal Business Licence is being made permanent and Delta will be joining an additional program that includes municipalities in the Fraser Valley.

Joining the Fraser Valley Inter-municipal Business Licence program will allow construction and trades-related businesses to operate in Delta, Surrey, Langley (Township and City), Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Mission, Chilliwack, Hope, and Kent without the need to obtain separate business licences in each municipality.

Both the Metro West and Fraser Valley Inter-municipal Business Licence programs will maintain the cost of an annual Inter-municipal Business Licence at the pilot program rate of $250.
