KinVillage Seniors’ Housing Proposal Referred to Public Hearing


Council gave first and second readings to Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 7817, a development proposal for the long-term expansion of the KinVillage complex located in Tsawwassen. The proposal has been referred to a Public Hearing in the New Year. View the staff report.

Proposal for Development at 6950 Nicholson Road


Council gave first and second readings to Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 7818 and Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 7819, to consider the proposed redevelopment of the property at 6950 Nicholson Road into two six-storey apartment buildings. The proposal has been referred to a Public Hearing in the New Year. View the staff report.

Permit Approved for Redevelopment of Commercial Building in Ladner Village


Council approved a development permit and development variance permit to allow for the renovation of an existing commercial building at 5062 48 Avenue in the Ladner Village core. The proposal corresponds with the recommendations contained in the South Delta Business Sustainability Strategy. View the staff report.

Permit Approved for New Sign at Seaquam Secondary School


Council approved a development variance permit to allow for the existing sign located near the entrance to Seaquam Secondary School to be replaced with a new freestanding sign that features an electronic message board. View the staff report.

Update re: Vancouver Landfill Technical Liaison Committee


Council received an update on a recent meeting of the Vancouver Landfill Technical Liaison Committee regarding operations, greenhouse gas emissions, and landfill closure works.
