 | Councillor Kanakos Leave of Absence At the Executive Meeting, Council approved a leave of absence for Councillor Kanakos for medical reasons until the end of February 2019. It is hoped that this medical leave will be brief and that Councillor Kanakos will be able to return to her duties prior to the end of Feburary. Council sends its best wishes for a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing Councillor Kanakos back in her chair at the Council table soon. |
 | South Delta Secondary School Track Shared Use Agreement Council approved a shared use agreement between the City and the Delta School District for the South Delta Secondary School track. Plans are in place to have the synthetic track surface installed in 2019 to complete this project in advance of the 2019/20 school year. View the staff report. |
 | Strategy to Remove Clothing Donation Bins Council approved a series of actions to remove donation bins from Delta as a public safety measure. Donation bins have been declared unsafe and must be removed by January 29, 2019. In addition, staff will undertake a review of the City’s bylaws to prohibit unsafe donation bins in Delta.  | Vancouver Fraser Port Authority Update Council endorsed an update on various Vancouver Fraser Port Authority projects and initiatives, including the new Tsawwassen Container Examination Facility, Deltaport truck staging facility, and proposed terminals at Fraser Surrey Docks.  | Roberts Bank Terminal 2 – Third Submission Council approved the submission of comments on the supplemental information for the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project. The City’s comments are related to noise monitoring and prevention, mitigation for bird colllisions and traffic congestion.
