The Historic Municipal Hall has had an extensive rehabilitation project which was undertaken beginning in 2016 after concerns arose regarding the settlement of the building and noticeable cracking in the walls. Careful and respectful rehabilitation combined with necessary structural, life safety, accessibility, electrical and mechanical upgrades have enhanced the heritage significance and extended the useful life of this important heritage building.

The updated building will showcase Delta’s rich history and provide new public amenities with the addition of an elevator and public washrooms, it will also be the new home for the Ladner Community Police Station,

Saturday’s celebration will include many fun activities, displays, information booths, children’s arts and crafts, Child Find BC Safety Bear, DPD K9 Dezie and a draw for a Delta Police Department prize pack, including a one month adult recreation pass and a child’s recreation program. Free cake and refreshments will be provided, along with hot dogs by donation to the Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club. All donations received benefit the Delta community.
