Welcome ‘Charlie Girl’!
Don’t be alarmed if you happen to see a furry friend with four legs at McKee! ‘Charlie Girl’ is a Therapy Dog in training, and her owner, Caroline Bruce will be bringing the adorable pooch into McKee as part of her training. They are a welcome addition to the Centre.
Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions

Are you living with chronic illness? Join this free workshop where you will gain tools to help you manage your condition while maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Caregivers are welcome. Offered in partnership with Self-Management BC. Register today at the Customer Service Desk.

Diabetes Self‐Management Course
Date: Saturday, February 17‐Mar 24
Time: 1‐3:30 pm
This course is brought to you by the University of Victoria Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health. The Diabetes Self‐Management Program is a free, six session workshop. The workshop helps people with type 2 diabetes and their caregivers to better manage symptoms and activities of daily life. Participants receive the Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions companion book. Participants should attend all six sessions to get the maximum benefit. Delta Diggers Garden Club

Caring for Orchids at Home will be the speaker’s topic this month. We meet in the café on the third Thursday of the month, from February through November. We have a show bench where members bring their seasonal flowers, plants and veggies. New members are welcome. Membership is $15 a year and a Kennedy membership is required. Refreshments are served and a $2 contribution is collected at each meeting towards the cost of refreshments and door prizes.

Delta Seniors Bus Program
The Delta Seniors Bus Program provides transportation within North and South Delta to seniors aged 65 and over who have difficulty accessing public transit. For information on how you can take part in the program, please phone 604-353-6305.

Get some fresh air because Delta parks and open spaces are smoke-free! Smoking and tobacco products, including vaporizers, are not permitted within the areas of a park or any municipal land.
