2017 Heritage Banner Design Contest Winners

Mayor Lois E. Jackson recognized the winners of the 2017 Heritage Banner Design contest. This year’s Grand Prize and Child/Youth Category winner was Riley Bouchey, who won for her work We Are All Connected. See the winning designs on Delta.ca.

DISCUSSION REPORTS

Proposed Amendment to Metro Vancouver’s Air Quality Bylaw

Council received an update on Metro Vancouver’s proposed bylaw changes regarding emissions from residential wood burning appliances. Council approved the recommendation that a letter be sent from Mayor Lois E. Jackson to the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors in support of their proposed measures. View the staff report. 

8A Avenue Roadway Improvements

Council received a presentation from the Director of Engineering regarding the 8A Avenue Neighbourhood Road improvements and approved the revised design which addresses resident feedback. View the staff report. 

Mayors’ Council 10 Year Vision Update Report

Council received an update regarding Phase One and Two of the Mayors’ Council 10 Year Vision for Metro Vancouver Transit and Transportation. View the staff report 

Farm to Table Access for Seniors

Council endorsed the staff recommendation to allow for the provision of farmers’ markets at Delta’s senior centres, with the intention to assist in the overall health and wellness of seniors in Delta. View the staff report
