G. MOTIONS ON NOTICE

(G.01) Joint Workshop Delta Council and Delta School Board

At the September 18, 2017 Regular Meeting, Councillor Kanakos provided the following Notice of Motion:

“WHEREAS residents of Delta, including thousands of school children, would benefit from a Track and Field Project(s) in North Delta and or South Delta;

WHEREAS the Delta Council School Board Liaison Committee reviewed the issue September 7, 2017;

WHEREAS options and costing were presented at a recent Delta Council School Board Dinner meeting held September 14, 2017, however were not discussed fully due to time constraints;

WHEREAS these are complex projects which require a review of data gathered by both the School Board and the Corporation of Delta;

BE IT RESOLVED THAT a workshop be held with the Delta School Board to review and discuss information regarding options and costs pertaining to Tracks in North and or South Delta prior to the Delta Council Business Planning Workshop.”
