2017 Battle of Britain Commemorative Parade

Sep 11, 2017

The 2017 Battle of Britain Commemorative Parade will take place at Boundary Bay Airport on September 17, 2017.

The event has been held at the Boundary Bay Airport since 2005 and includes a parade by the Air Cadets alongside a military band, fly-bys of several vintage planes and a ceremony at the new cenotaph in front of the terminal building.

This year's event will feature retired Lieutenant Colonel and Honourary President of the Air Cadet League of Canada Maryse Carmichael as the reviewing officer, as well as flying activities from the Royal Canadian Airforce, a Harvard Mark II, and the Fraser Blues 3-aircraft Demonstration Team.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to see planned static displays of locally-owned Harvards and Stearman Bi-plane, an Air Cadet C-182 Tow-plane, and a glider.

This is a free event and will run between 11:30 am and 4 pm.
