DISCUSSION REPORTS

River Road Traffic Calming

Council approved the recommendation that staff be authorized to implement the proposed traffic calming plan along River Road. This recommendation comes as a result of a public consultation process with residents that either live along River Road or are reliant on River Road for sole access to their homes. These measures include raised pedestrian crosswalks, two roadside speed reader boards, and pavement marking modifications. View the staff report.

Noise Variance Extension Request and Project Update

Council approved an extension for the relief from enforcement of the Delta Noise Control Bylaw for Metro Vancouver’s 52nd Street Watermain, which runs from from 12 Avenue to Highway 17. The period of relief granted for work between 7 am and 10 pm, Monday to Saturday, will take place from August 15, 2017 to October 31, 2017.

Metro Vancouver’s 52 Street Water Main Replacement Project is nearing Upland Drive and is expected to reach 12 Avenue by September 2017. Please contact Metro Vancouver’s Community Liaison Officer at 604-432-6200 with specific project concerns.
