Arthur Drive Improvement Project Feedback

Mar 15, 2017

With Phase One of the Arthur Drive Improvement project substantially complete, the Corporation of Delta would like to take the opportunity to thank the residents and road users for their patience and understanding during the construction process. As this chapter of the project comes to an end, we'd like to share some of the feedback from those affected by the construction:

“We would like to thank you for the fantastic road, sidewalk, and davit lights you've so diligently installed. The crosswalk should be a big help for those of us walking, as well as drivers trying to turn north or south bound out of the crescent.”

“Again a job well done, and we are looking forward to more years ahead in our great town!”

“I am happy with the finished product. The sidewalk is improved, the heritage lamp standards are classy, and the new curbs at the end of our driveways actually make it easier to back out onto the street.”

“The improvements to Arthur Drive are great. We like it very much. Lighting is much better at night.”

“Traffic Management by Flag personnel was excellent. Given the size and duration of the project they were pleasant and reacted quickly to see that people on our street were able to come and go quickly. That was appreciated.”

The second phase of the project (from Deltaport Way to Augustine House) is scheduled to begin Spring 2017. The works included in this phase are:

  • Slight roadway widening as necessary to accommodate two travel lanes and two cycle lanes
  • Street lighting improvements
  • Roadway repaving along Arthur Drive between Deltaport Way and Augustine House
