Environmental Damages Fund

At the July 11, 2016 Executive Meeting, Council considered the report from the Engineering Department and the Office of Climate Action and Environment dated June 24, 2016 regarding Environment & Climate Change Canada Environmental Damages Fund and unanimously endorsed the following recommendations:
 
THAT the Directors of Engineering and Finance be authorized to execute the funding agreement with Environment and Climate Change Canada for the Environmental Damages Fund restoration and enhancement projects in Cougar Creek.   
 
THAT this report be released at a Regular Meeting of Council once the funding agreement with Environment and Climate Change Canada for the Environmental Damages Fund restoration and enhancement projects in Cougar Creek is executed and the funding has been formally announced.

Crescent Slough Laneway Encroachments

At the July 25, 2016 Executive Meeting, Council endorsed the release to the public of the results of the vote on the following resolution regarding Encroachments on the Delta-owned Crescent Slough Laneway endorsed at the June 13, 2016 Executive Meeting:
 
“THAT all property owners on the Delta-owned Crescent Slough laneway be notified by letter to remove all laneway encroachments.”
 
The results of the vote on the abovementioned resolution were as follows:
 
In Favour: Mayor Jackson, Cllrs. Bishop, Kanakos and King (4)
In Opposition: Cllrs. Campbell, McDonald and Paton (3)
