Delta Flood Protection Strategy Update (Adapting to Sea Level Rise)
Council received a presentation regarding Delta’s Flood Protection Strategy and approved support for a comprehensive long term flood protection strategy. This strategy would deal with long term sea level rise as a result of climate change and enhanced seismic requirements and would require Delta to implement updated policies, extensive geotechnical studies, and a comprehensive dike upgrading program.
