Property Tax Notice

May 28, 2015

Check your mail for Mayor Jackson's Community Update letter, which will be arriving with your Property Tax Notice in the coming weeks.

If you do not receive your property tax notice, please contact the Taxation Office by email at taxation@delta.ca or by phone at 604-946-3235. All property owners are responsible for the payment of property taxes whether or not a tax notice is received.

How To Pay Your Property Taxes

  • Pay at your financial institution in person or by telephone or online banking.
  • Mail your payment to Delta Municipal Hall, Taxation Office, 4500 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta, B.C., V4K 3E2.
  • Pay in person at Delta Municipal Hall (4500 Clarence Taylor Crescent) during business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–4:45 pm (Thursdays until 8 pm), or place in the after-hours drop box at the front entrance.
  • Pay in person at North Delta Recreation Centre (11415–84 Avenue) during business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–4:45 pm (Thursdays until 8 pm).

Pre-authorized withdrawal program: Your property tax notice shows a balance that represents the current year's charges, less installments. Property owners are responsible for paying the balance by the due date. Penalties will be applied to any balance unpaid after the due date.

Home Owner Grant: Claim your Home Owner Grant online or complete and sign the Application for Home Owner Grant on your property tax notice and forward it to the Corporation of Delta. If you are eligible for a Home Owner Grant, you must claim your grant by the due date each year to avoid a penalty even if you are not making a payment on your taxes. Grant applications received after the due date will be considered late and are subject to penalties.

Tax Deferment Program: Tax deferment agreements must be renewed each year. Applications and renewals must be received on or before the due date to avoid a penalty.

Late payment penalties: A 5% penalty will be applied on current taxes if unpaid after July 2, 2015. An additional 5% penalty will be applied on current taxes if unpaid after September 2, 2015.

For more information on the payment of your property taxes, please contact the Taxation Office at 604-946-3235 or by email at taxation@delta.ca.
