Reconsideration – Hazardous Conditions – 5584 112 Street
Council received a delegation of Roger McAfee, on behalf of property owners Irene and Henry Smood, to discuss the removal of a building deemed hazardous at 5584 112 Street. Council approved recommendations included in an accompanying staff report to remove the hazardous building by August 18, 2014. View the staff report.
Additional Public Hearing for 10993 64A Ave
Council authorized to schedule a Public Hearing for Bylaw No. 7328 on September 16, 2014, at 7 pm in the Main Hall of Kennedy Seniors Recreation Centre. At the July 28, 2014 Regular Meeting, Council gave first and second readings to Bylaw No. 7328 pertaining to the Rezoning and Subdivision of 10993 64A Ave application, and resolved that a Public Hearing be scheduled in North Delta. Boundary Bay Airport – Heritage Hangar Remediation Contract Award
Council approved the staff recommendation to award the contract for the remediation of the Heritage Hangar at Boundary Bay Airport to Wood Projects Ltd. in the amount of $685,650, including GST. The Heritage Hangar is on the Delta Heritage Register and the Canadian Register, and every effort will be made to maintain the heritage look and feel of the building. View the staff report.
Delta Firefighters' Charitable Society – Harvest Festival
Council approved Gold level sponsorship ($5,000) to support the Delta Firefighters' Charitable Society's 2nd Annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 13, 2014, which raises funds for the charity.
