May 02, 2014
Don't be caught off guard. Each year, thousands of Canadian families face emergencies that can change their lives forever. Get prepared during Emergency Preparedness Week 2014.
What can you do?
- Practise your emergency drill as a family
This should be done at least once a year.
- Make an emergency plan
What would you do at home, work, school or daycares if an emergency happened?
- Purchase a 72-hour emergency kit
Whether you make your own or purchase a ready-made kit, it's important to have essential items in case of an emergency.
- Know the risks
Knowledge will help you prepare for the worst.
