McKee Seniors Expo

McKee Seniors Recreation Centre (5155 47 Avenue) is hosting a Seniors Expo to promote awareness for seniors resources and services in our community. The theme is Live It Up! and we are celebrating healthy living, eating, playing and aging.
Time: 10 am–4 pm
Kennedy Seniors Recreation Centre is also hosting a Seniors Expo on Saturday, October 4, including all of the same activities and presentations.
Over 38 exhibitors will be present, representing a range of interests, including:
- Health – BC Lung Association, Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Society, Fraser Health
- Wellness – Lifeline, massage therapy, foot care
- Lifestyle – Responsible gambling, Delta library, Senior Living
- Services – Financial planning, Deltassist, legal
- Information – Emergency preparedness, Veterans Affairs
And much more!
Join us for lunch from 12–1:30 pm in the cafeteria and enjoy musical entertainment by Louise Southwood, a talented guitar player who has enchanted diverse audiences around the world.

Keyrsten McEwan is a Registered Holistic Nurse (RHN) and graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Vancouver. She is passionate about making nutrition fun and brings clients back to basics with fresh, local, real food.
Substance Abuse Presentation
Jim Stimson is the President of the Little House Society. He has spent the last 35 years working in the addictions field, helping individuals, families, workplaces and unions deal with addication, as well as other emotional and psychological difficulties.
This outdoor demonstration is presented by Delta Police. Take a scooter for a ride and learn about the laws and practices governing their use.
Seniors and their Mid-life Children: Challenges and Choices
Clarissa P. Green is a family therapist known for her work with mid-life children and older parents. A Professor Emerita from UBC and award-winning teacher and writer, Clarissa writes about and offers workshops on how aging and caregiving affect seniors and their mid-life children.
